What is Kingsport Tomorrow?
Kingsport Tomorrow is an open association of citizens. It was created on 1990 by a group of people who recognize the need to involve every citizen in the important decisions affecting the future of our community. Anyone can join and membership is free.
Kingsport Tomorrow is an organization for those who believe that citizen input is in the community's best interest. It is for those who are ready to join forces with other citizens to creatively solve current issues and to plan for the future. Kingsport Tomorrow provides a way for citizens to meet, hear others' opinions, air differences, and create a plan of action to improve the quality of life in this community.
Kingsport Tomorrow belongs to the citizens of the Greater Kingsport Area. It is fueled by citizens and operates in the interests of citizens. It is endorsed by our largest employers and our elected officials, who have pledged to give Kingsport Tomorrow their full support.
Kingsport Tomorrow initiates and facilitates citizen-led projects. It organizes task forces to study and act on issues. It serves the community as a vehicle for new ideas, encouraging citizens to seize opportunities that might otherwise be overlooked.
Kingsport Tomorrow works to advance the shared vision of our citizens, which is to make Greater Kingsport “A Community of Excellence and Opportunity."
